This article is not neutrally written and in the initial paragraphs, only the negatives of Shri Modi have been written. Some thats that haven't
even been proved are mentined such as "failure of balakote". I request any 30/500 editor to edit this and make it a neutral essay as it is wrong for our international image of India. 122.161.243.22 (talk) 12:40, 26 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
They are requesting to remove the detailing and references about the "failure" of the Balatok air strike conducted by India. As it is not factually correct. Zebahumac (talk) 14:36, 27 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
they say so based on editorial lines, personal judgements, and preconceived agendas as I guess as I could not find any factual evidence in the citations. 103.29.116.82 (talk) 08:46, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
There is a typo in the Prime minister - economic section:
"During the first eight years of Modi's premiership, India's GDP grew at an average rate of 5.5% per cent compared tho the rate of 7.03 per cent under the previous government."
under previous govt. avg gdp growth was 6.81 and we cant blame modi for 2020 gdp downfall as it was a worldwide economy crash due to covid Sarvagyalal (talk) 05:42, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
India has given proofs( Source ThePrint) about Balakot airstrike. Please dont use biased websites like Washington post, Al Jazeera, New york Times , who always write against India.
that airstrike was a success as we cant trust pakistan who have blalantly lied in the past. Sarvagyalal (talk) 05:45, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No proof of democratic backsliding , only biased anti India , western websites like BBC, New York Times, Washington Post, claim about democratic backsliding. There are fair elections in India, people have freedom to speech ( unlike in emergency 1975). Sarvagyalal (talk) 05:48, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Both of these sections are cited to reliable sources (and the sources are not all Western writers either). If you have proof that such sources are biased against India, the place to raise this is WP:RS/N. Also, the existence of elections - even if fair - is not the definition of democracy. I'm sorry, but you need to be more specific (what, for example, is GCSK?). Please also note that titles are not generally added to names so you will need to make a specific case for adding this one. RegentsPark (comment) 17:49, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
He is simply requesting the addition of details regarding the conferral of the Highest National Award of Mauritius to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, specifically in the Awards and Recognition section. This is a straightforward and factual update — something that should be routine for an experienced admin like yourself. Yet, instead of addressing it directly, you've opted to dodge the matter by feigning ignorance or overcomplicating what is essentially a no-brainer.
Assume good faith. We are not here for work, and this is not our job, Wikipedia is a voluntary project. How would someone know what GCSK means? Also, the edit request was not complete. Simply saying New title of GCSK must be added to his name does not constitute a proper edit request. If you want to request an addition here, please provide a proper edit request with clear details and reliable sources. GrabUp - Talk06:34, 6 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the clarification. I do appreciate that Wikipedia is a collaborative and voluntary effort, and I fully agree that we should all strive to assume good faith. That said, there’s a difference between assuming good faith and dismissing valid edit suggestions due to form rather than substance.
The original request — albeit brief — clearly pointed to the inclusion of the GCSK title, which refer to the "Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean," the highest civilian honour conferred by Mauritius. This is a publicly documented fact and was widely reported by credible news outlets at the time of conferral. The addition of this honour to the Awards and Recognition section of Narendra Modi’s page would simply be consistent with how such information is typically recorded for notable public figures, including heads of state and government.
If the issue was with the phrasing or completeness of the original request, a more constructive response might have been to ask for a citation or suggest how the request could be improved — not dismiss it outright as lacking specificity. 152.56.17.126 (talk) 07:13, 6 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I’m happy to resubmit a properly formatted edit request, with sources included, but I do hope that going forward, good faith is extended in both directions. 152.56.17.126 (talk) 07:19, 6 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The issue isn't formatting, the issue is that your first request wasn't comprehensible. I have added the award now that GrabUp has clarified what you were asking for. Alleging malintent is a good way to get future edit requests ignored entirely. Vanamonde93 (talk) 15:57, 6 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
